The Study Methodology

Over a nine-month period, Kipu analyzed current KipuEMR clients implementing the CRM platform with the goal of measuring the efficiencies of the system through admission numbers. Using three phases, the study analyzed admission data for the three months prior to the KipuCRM implementation, three months including the implementation and training period, and three months of complete usage. The results indicated staggering growth from an average of 71.2 admissions to over 87 admissions within the first six months of implementing the CRM module. Here is the method used for this study:

1. Examine a large sample size of clients currently using the KipuEMR, who intend to implement the KipuCRM.

2. Measure the average admissions for the three-month period before the KipuCRM implementation and go-live.

3. Allow for a three-month “shakeout” period for the use of the KipuCRM, consisting of training and adoption of best practices around the use of the KipuCRM.

4. Measure the average admissions for the three-month period after client shakeout, and compare the three-month period prior to implementation of KipuCRM.

The KipuCRM: Boosting admissions faster.

The increase is clear and consistent across the study group. By month four, admissions continue to increase steadily culminating in an increase of 28.5% during month six; the study group posted a three-month total of 87.5 admissions with the KipuCRM vs. 71.2 admissions — without the KipuCRM. NOTE that admissions during the pre-KipuCRM period began rising as a result of attention to best practices during implementation. In addition, we noted that all sample facilities were still growing by an average of 28.5%.
