Addictions Continuing Education Online Conference
May 14 @ 9:00 am - May 15 @ 5:00 pm
Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital are pleased to offer this intensive 2-day online course which brings together some of the foremost authorities in the addiction field.
Topics will include new, evidence-based treatments, the nuances of treating co-occurring disorders along with addiction, and special populations. Smaller breakout sessions allow for in-depth exploration of topic areas in an interactive and stimulating format that should enhance learning and skill building.
Because alcohol and drug misuse have so many dimensions and disrupt so many aspects of an individual’s life, treatment is never simple. To effectively help the people seeking your guidance, it can be invaluable to take time from your busy practice to update your knowledge and skills around all of these complex areas and treatment strategies. This conference consolidates all of the latest information and helps you apply it in the office when you return.
Participants will benefit from the presentations and breakout sessions on how to:
- Provide effective treatments for opioid use disorder, so that you can help address the national epidemic
- Provide a wide array of evidence-based treatment options available to both prescribers and non-prescribers
- Recognize and treat co-occurring disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and insomnia
- Work with specific populations, such as women, adolescents, and the LGBTQ+ population
Each afternoon, you will choose two different interactive sessions that will provide opportunities for in-depth exploration of topics relevant to your practice.
