CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2021: A Virtual Experience!

November 23 @ 8:00 am - November 25 @ 5:00 pm

Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction

The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction invites you to attend CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2021 conference. The conference takes place November 23–25, 2021, as part of National Addictions Awareness Week.

Substance use is a complex, far-reaching and consequential issue. COVID-19 is making the substance use landscape in Canada even more complex. It takes a wide range of perspectives and collective efforts to drive the needed change to shape a brighter future for people who use substances. Appropriately themed Driving Change Together, CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2021 will bring us together with our different viewpoints. We will work in cohesion to create a Canadian society where evidence transforms approaches to substance use.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CCSA is making the 2021 event entirely virtual to ensure the safety of our attendees and presenters. The conference will take place over three half days. This year’s event will still feature keynote presentations, concurrent sessions and poster presentations. The conference organizing and program committees are working diligently to bring attendees all the features they have come to expect at CCSA’s Issues of Substance, this year through a virtual offering. There may be a few new features CCSA adds too! Stay tuned for more developments on the virtual program as the conference draws closer.
