KipuEMR Webinar: Outcome Measurements Who Should Attend: Super Admins & Therapists

Why Attend: The primary purpose of the Brief Addiction Monitor (BAM) is to support individualized, measurement-based care for substance use disorders (SUD). The BAM monitors a patient’s progress and yields reliable data that is both easy to collect and readily integrated into treatment planning. The BAM is a multidimensional questionnaire administered electronically from Kipu EMR to patients seeking or enrolled in specialty care. It retrospectively assesses three SUD-related domains: Risk factors for substance use, Protective factors that support sobriety, and drug and alcohol use. The BAM assessments are also accompanied by three mental health based assessments: (the AED-V4, PHQ-9, and the GAD-7) as well as the TCU Assessment Program Forms.
